William (Bill) Gritsonis is the Founder and Chairman of PCG Consulting Inc. He graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Business Administration with a Bachelor of Science Management. Bill began his career by serving in the United States Army as Combat Engineer. He went on to earn the title of Sergeant. After serving in the military for six years Bill returned to Chicago to work as General Manager for '76 Construction Company Inc. Bill quickly turned the company around within a 3 year period and reversed company debt of 250K while also establishing perfect lines of credit. He was responsible for the redirection of the company toward commercial construction and the reorganization of accounts receivable flow, which resulted in the doubling of profits within the first year.
With extensive municipal/ government experience, he is primarily responsible for the development of PCG as one of the top building code consulting firms in Chicago. Prior to PCG he was the Assistant Director of Government and Community Relations for the Metropolitan Pier and Exposition Authority. There he acted as the primary liason for licensing & permitting issues with state legislatures, General Assembly and the City Council. He also gained valuable municipal experience as Assistant Director as one of his primary responsibilities included the management of daily tasks associated with the administration and compliance of Authority licensing, fees, permits, and other filings required by state and local government.
Bill served for seven years as the Senior Aide to Alderman Brian Doherty of the 41st Ward, where he established and managed ward constituency and the City Hall Aldermanic office, meeting constituents and expediting problems. At the 41st Ward he helped establish and manage the City Hall aldermanic office, assisting the aldermen in guiding local and regional legislative matters through city and state legislatures from zoning matters to bills relating to police. Bill helped establish Alderman Doherty's zoning advisory board, which hears at least 20 issues per year. He also assisted in the writing of the Special Conservation Zoning Ordinance, restricting overdevelopment and maintaining single family home communities. This ordinance was the first of its kind in the state of Illinois.
