Role Overview We are seeking an experienced and confident volunteer to manage AAFE’s marketing and communications work across social media, our website, and other outreach materials. This role is ideal for someone who already knows how to create effective social media posts, manage consistent online presence, and design marketing materials with minimal direction. You will take ownership of day‑to‑day marketing activities, ensuring AAFE’s communications are professional, engaging, and aligned with our mission. Key Responsibilities Social Media Management Take full ownership of AAFE’s social media accounts, including planning, posting, and engagement. Create and share high‑quality, visually appealing content that highlights AAFE’s work and impact. Ensure posts are consistent in tone, timing, and design. Grow AAFE’s online audience and engagement through thoughtful, consistent posting. Design and Communications Design brochures, newsletters, and other materials that clearly communicate AAFE’s message and programs. Develop creative content for digital and print use without needing detailed guidance. Ensure all materials reflect AAFE’s voice, branding, and values. Website and Digital Presence Maintain and update AAFE’s Wix website to keep it current and user‑friendly. Refresh images, text, and layout as needed to ensure the site remains engaging and accessible. Implement improvements to navigation, readability, and presentation. Advertising and Analytics Manage AAFE’s Google Ad Grant account and monitor campaign performance. Apply basic SEO practices to improve online visibility. Track engagement data to understand what’s working and adjust accordingly. Qualifications Proven experience managing social media accounts for an organization or brand. Strong skills in content creation, graphic design, and visual communication. Familiarity with Wix or similar website platforms. Understanding of SEO and digital marketing tools. Ability to take initiative and work independently without constant direction. Creative, reliable, and committed to AAFE’s mission and values. Commitment Minimum 5–10 hours per week, depending on availability and organizational needs. Flexible schedule with opportunities for long‑term involvement.
