**Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Med/Surg, ICU, ER Float**
**Contract Type:** 20-26 Weeks (Availability required through holidays)
**Shift Details:** 3x12 Day Shifts, 7 AM - 7 PM (EOW and holiday rotations, plus 2 On-Call shifts per 4 weeks; no On-Call required on a 48-hour contract)
**Job Description:**
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team. This role involves floating to various units including Med/Surg, ICU, and ER, providing critical patient care in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients across multiple units, including Med/Surg, ICU, and ER.
- Demonstrate the ability to adapt quickly to various clinical settings and patient needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed while monitoring patient responses.
- Ensure confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information with discretion.
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement activities and adhere to safety protocols.
**Qualifications:**
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in New York State with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Minimum of two years of critical care experience, including floating to ICUs, ERs, and Med/Surg units.
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (must be obtained through the RQI system during clinical orientation) and NIHSS.
- Basic Coronary Care certification within 6 months of hire and CPI certification within 90 days of hire.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Certification by the Emergency Nurses Association (ENA) recommended within 2 years of hire.
- TNCC certification recommended within 2 years of hire.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic medical records (EMR).
**Skills and Attributes:**
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a strong commitment to teamwork.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of age-specific patient care needs, from pediatrics to geriatrics.
