Our client is seeking a full-time, temp-to-hire CAD Designer/Structural Steel Detailer to join a dynamic team of professionals. Key Responsibilities:
- Create accurate 3D models and 2D drawings using SolidWorks and other CAD tools, aligned with customer and production expectations.
- Apply drafting best practices and structural steel detailing standards to all design work.
- Review and verify CAD output for compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
- Deliver high-quality production packages on time and within budget.
- Collaborate with project managers, sales, and internal teams to ensure project success.
- Assist with field measurements and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
- Maintain clear documentation of design changes and modifications.
- Provide exceptional service to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Foster a safe, positive, and professional working environment.
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary certificate or Associate’s Degree in a related field, or 3–5 years of documented CAD experience.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks preferred; experience with other 3D CAD platforms will be considered.
- Strong computer literacy and mechanical aptitude.
- Familiarity with SDS2, AutoCAD, ProNest, Flashcut, PeddiMat, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Access).
- Ability to respond to urgent project needs outside regular hours when necessary.

Rate of Pay Range: $27 to $32 per hour depending on experience.
