Our client is seeking a full-time, temp-to-hire CAD Designer/Structural Steel Detailer to join a dynamic team of professionals. Key Responsibilities:

• Create accurate 3D models and 2D drawings using SolidWorks and other CAD tools, aligned with customer and production expectations.
• Apply drafting best practices and structural steel detailing standards to all design work.
• Review and verify CAD output for compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
• Deliver high-quality production packages on time and within budget.
• Collaborate with project managers, sales, and internal teams to ensure project success.
• Assist with field measurements and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
• Maintain clear documentation of design changes and modifications.
• Provide exceptional service to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Foster a safe, positive, and professional working environment.

Qualifications:

• Post-secondary certificate or Associate’s Degree in a related field, or 3–5 years of documented CAD experience.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks preferred; experience with other 3D CAD platforms will be considered.
• Strong computer literacy and mechanical aptitude.
• Familiarity with SDS2, AutoCAD, ProNest, Flashcut, PeddiMat, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Access).
• Ability to respond to urgent project needs outside regular hours when necessary.

Rate of Pay Range: $27 to $32 per hour depending on experience.
