Mechanical and Aerospace Systems Engineer

As a Mechanical and Aerospace Systems Engineer on our team, you'll have the chance to shape sustainment and modification programs on a variety of aircraft systems, including identifying and supporting items critical to aircraft mission availability and improving lifecycle processes for aircraft systems and subsystems. Your customer will t rus t you to not only design and develop these systems, but also evolve them with advanced technology solutions. On our team, you'll be able to broaden your skill set into areas like aerospace engineering and digital engineering. You Have:
    \n
  • 5+ years of experience in aerospace engineering
  • \n
  • Experience with manufacturing processes and materials science
  • \n
  • Knowledge of standards and regulations such as MIL-STD or ASME
  • \n
  • Knowledge of DoD sustainment and acquisition processes
  • \n
  • Knowledge of DoD Technical Data Package ( TDP ) creation and DoD acquisition requirements generation
  • \n
  • Ability to review and understand technical drawings and identify critical characteristics
  • \n
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues for mechanical systems and components
  • \n
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information, resolve technical issues, and present to senior ranking offi cia ls
  • \n
  • Secret clearance
  • \n
  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field such as Mechanical Engineering or Systems Engineering
  • \n

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with SysML and digital engineering processes and tools such as Cameo, Team center , or related tools
  • \n
  • Experience with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
  • \n
  • Experience with DoD Operational Safety, Suitability, and Effectiveness ( OSS & E )
  • \n
  • Ability to coordinate and manage Engineering Technical Assistance Request ( ETAR ) processes and procedures, including AFMC guidelines and the use of AF Form 107 and AF Form 202
  • \n
  • Master's degree in Engineering
  • \n

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $61,900.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
