Emerging Tech is looking for an experienced VISN Project Manager to support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Electronic Health Record Modernization Integration Office (EHRM-IO). In this role, you will manage a portfolio of infrastructure projects that directly impact the delivery of modernized healthcare systems for our nation’s veterans. You’ll work closely with program leadership, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with mission needs.
What You’ll Do
Oversee multiple infrastructure design and construction projects across a VISN, from planning and acquisition through implementation.
Track schedules, budgets, and performance to keep projects on course.
Anticipate and mitigate risks related to space, power, cabling, HVAC, and other facility readiness requirements for IT installations.
Partner with stakeholders to drive collaboration, resolve issues, and ensure program requirements are met.
Prepare briefings, reports, and data updates for senior leadership and interagency partners.
Use tools like SharePoint, MS Project, and Power BI to manage data and clearly communicate progress, performance, and trends.
What We’re Looking For
10+ years of professional experience, including managing IT-related projects.
Strong understanding of project life cycle and project management methodologies.
Proven ability to monitor and manage costs, schedules, and performance.
Skilled at identifying risks and developing solutions.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience in lieu of degree).
Preferred Skills and Experience
Experience working with the Department of Veterans Affairs or federal programs.
Knowledge of government acquisition processes and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FARs).
Background in managing infrastructure projects that involve electrical, mechanical, and IT systems.
Familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EHR) infrastructure implementations.
Experience managing large, dispersed project portfolios.
Certifications such as PMP, CCM, CHFM, Lean Six Sigma, or Agile are highly valued.
